Lincoln began his life in northeastern New Jersey, received his B.Arch. at Rensselaer in 1998, then continued migrating north to design buildings and urban master plans at TruexCullins in Burlington. He formed his own illustration business in 2002.

Outside of the architecture world, Lincoln spent 13 years racing (pedal) bikes semi-professionally, was once an accomplished French Horn player, and now design/builds environmentally friendly modern furniture for his second business, called Modern Vermont.
